India set to be self-sufficient in urea by 2025 with six new plants

The union fertiliser Minister hoped that the import of urea in India will be eliminated by 2025 through the increased domestic and enhanced nano urea .The trade and industry sources said that the India will achieve a self sufficiency in urea through conventional routes. Nano will play a big supportive role .The production of nano urea started on August 1st .the producers were iifco and rashtriya chemicals and fertilisers (RCF).

The launch of nano urea helped to dispatch 39 million bottles to be sold at outlets of iifco and RCF .of these 28.7 million bottles have been sold .
