INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY AT ASB

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY AT ASB

Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. Yoga improves physical, mental and spiritual discipline. It Provides fitness, good health and relaxation.

International Yoga Day has been celebrated energetically with systematic yogasanas in our College. Our Faculty Madhava Kurup Sir (Volunteer and Teacher of The Art of Living since 2005) and Smt. Ambily Santhosh the yoga trainer at The Art of Living explained the importance of meditation and yoga and gave instructions for yogasanas and made us to perform. First we begin with stretches and warm up then we did few anasanas like tadasana, bhujangasana, vrikshasana, trikonasana, shavasana, and so more and then we did meditation for about 8 minutes.

My experience:

I use to do yoga with my mother a year back later because of our busy schedule we skip doing it. Today’s session it really helped me to recreate my interest again. After the session I felt rejuvenation throughout my body and my mind, and also felt peace and happiness. It was the best experience of my life.

I feel like starting it again from tomorrow onwards.
