India Jumps 6 places on IMD's world competitveness Index

 India had a six position jump from 43rd to 37th rank on the annual World Competitiveness Index, compiled by the Institute for Management Development (IMD). The rise in the position was mainly due to the economic perfomance. 

Denmark reached the first position making Switzerland second and Singapore became third. US holds the 10 th position in the Index. 

The domestic economy experinced a rise from 30 th to 9 th position in a year. The labour market moved from 15 th to 6th.
