Power Finance Corporation inks pact with JBIC for $220-million loan

 

On Thursday, 7th July 2022, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and the state-owned Power Finance Corporation (PFC) signed a credit agreement for JPY 30 billion (JBIC).

Power Finance corporation said in a statement that it had signed a loan arrangement with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) for JPY 30 billion on July 7, 2022.
This long-term facility was given to Power Finance cooperation ( PFC) by JBIC as part of its "Global action for Reconciling Economic growth and Environmental preservation" (GREEN) initiative, according to the company officials.  Through this initiative, JBIC offers financing for projects that guarantee the effective reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and preservation of the global environment.
As a result, PFC would finance its portfolio of renewable energy sources using the cash provided by the facility.
Kazushige Globe, Director, and R S Dhillon, CMD, PFC, signed the loan agreement.
