The investment in the renewable energy sector in India raised more than 125% year on year which record $14.5bn in the FY 2021 - 22 report released by IEEFA institute for energy economics and financial analysis Reliance industries and the Adani group have ambitious plans to ramp Ram up their renewable energy capacity rial and Adani constituted 75% of the total value of investment in final FY 22 surprising FY 20
In FY 22 SB energy is exit from the Indian market with a sale of asset worth dollar 3.5 billion to Adani green energy and part to Adani group. The rice in renewable energy result in the revival in electricity demand from the Covid 19 lull and commitments made by corporations and financial institutions to net zero emission and to exit fossil fuel
The Indian renewable energy sector needs about $30 to 40 billion annually to meet the 450 gw target this would require a more than doubling of the current level of investment . There is an increase investment in wind and solar Power capacity but there is a need for creating and their ecosystem around renewable.
