Amazon goes tough on fraud, bans 4 billion bad listings in 2021

 In 2021, Amazon provided 4 billion bad listings from making it to its website and removed over 3 million fake goods, compared to over 2 million a year earlier. Amazon's automated Technology scanned more than 8 billion attempted changes to product detail pages daily for signs of potential abuse said by director of Global brand relations at Amazon, Anna Dalla val. In 2021 Amazon invested more than  $900 million and had more than 12000 people, including scientists, software developers and expert investigators, who were dedicated to protecting customers, brands, selling partners, and their store counterfeit, fraud and other forms of abuse. Indians were also part of such teams.val said that they were using combination of machine learning and expert human review. The union Consumer Affairs ministry reportedly raised concerns with Amazon related to improving Customer services, including complaint redressal as well as selling genuine products. In India Amazon signed Memorandum of understanding with leading industry associations, like the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and industry (Ficci), the confederation of Indian industry  (CII) and the Indian Beauty and Hygiene Association (IBHA). Amazon and various in industry associations had conducted sessions of talk about tools and policies.
